Mirrors in Visconti’s films. Awkward confrontations

Half a year ago I published an article in a Liber Amicorum for my friend Egbert Barten who turned 50. The article is Dutch-written and is part of my research for my forthcoming book on Luchino Visconti and visual arts. The article deals with confrontations with the self and with the other in Visconti’s films, related to the use of mirrors in painting, silent cinema and early sound film. Today I will publish the digital version of the article on my site, courtesy Egbert Barten.
